ODPA (Open Door Parent's Association) is a
group of school parents who volunteer time to support the
work of the headmaster and teachers in their efforts to provide
a godly educational environment in which to educate and encourage
our children. All parents of children in Open Door Christian
Academy are automatically members of ODPA. We encourage all
members to attend our bimonthly meetings. For information
about available opportunities, please contact the school office.
We depend on the participation of parents to accomplish our
goals!
ODPA plans activities for the students and their families
and sponsors various fund-raising events to raise monies for
special projects to improve the school facility or for basic
classroom needs. Projects for the past school year included
a school security system, a new playground system, and library
automation. In addition, through the generosity and donations
of many individuals and companies, our school was able to
completely refurbish its computer lab, all systems in the
classroom, and receive broadband and Internet services throughout.
God is so good!
Friday, October 15, 2005, we held ODCA’s
THIRD annual RACE FOR EDUCATION, our most
important fundraiser of the year. The children wrote mailers
to sponsors! Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends
came to cheer for the children or walk or run together around
the RACE track. Our goal conitnued to be $50,000 this year!
We thank all those who supported our school in the last three
year's endeavors! We are praying for God's special blessing
on our efforts.
